Thank you for your loyalty and support of our ClubSport Aliso Viejo community over the past several weeks. What makes our property so special is our members and associates. We miss our personal interactions and are grateful for the continued opportunity to connect virtually with ClubSport At Home workouts.

We feel it is important to solicit feedback to meet your needs, expectations, and provide an environment where you can feel safe and comfortable. Membership Update
We are excited to see the gradual loosening of the stay in place order with the expansion of approved outdoor activities. The beginning of California’s Phase 2, as outlined by Governor Newsom, could start as early as May 8, with the re-opening of limited non-essential businesses. Fitness Clubs are part of California’s Phase 3 plan and we hope that it will be safe to enter this phase in the near future.

While we have been temporarily closed, our essential personnel have been working onsite making repairs and keeping our building operational so we are ready to re-open when it is legal and safe to do so. Our programming team has been busy creating at-home workouts, kids activities, and at-home spa treatments, while the leadership team has been diligently preparing for our re-opening.

We know and understand your willingness to return could be determined by our new protocols and procedures. We will be implementing robust cleaning practices, physical distancing, and additional guidelines which will be a combination of mandatory and voluntary practices designed to keep our members and associates safe. The well-being of our ClubSport community is a top priority.

We are in this together and it will be a shared responsibility of both associates and members to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. We have set up guidelines to help achieve these goals and as we learn more from our state and local authorities, we will further refine these guidelines. A few things you can expect when you return.

Cleanliness

  • • A dedicated Clean Team continuously cleaning throughout all open hours of operation, as well as all of our team members cleaning throughout every shift.
  • • Cleaning of our Group Fitness studios and equipment between each class.
  • • Deep cleaning of the facility each night.
  • • Disinfectant wipe stations and hand sanitizer stations located throughout the facility for easy access for members to wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • • Professional BioSafe Biological Cold Fogging completed in preparation for opening. Biosafe fogging is a unique disinfectant process that is EPA certified, non-toxic, non-corrosive, 100% biodegradable, and is environmentally safe. Biosafe fogging system purchased and on the property for ongoing deep disinfectant treatment.

Safety

  • • Sneeze guards placed at check-in and check-out stations.
  • • Touchless club entry - please download the ClubSport App from the Apple or Google Play store and click here for written instructions on setting up the app or have your physical ClubSport card present at check-in.
  • • Adherence to local and state guidelines regarding the use of masks, temperature checks, physical distancing, etc.
  • • Associate temperature checks at the start of each shift.

Physical Distancing

  • • Directional signage and walking patterns as you enter and move throughout the facility.
  • • Floor markers indicating a minimum of 6’ physical distancing in studios, open workout spaces, and areas where lines form.
  • • Reduced Group Fitness class sizes and advanced reservations – details coming soon.
  • • Adherence to state and local guidelines for physical distancing in each area of the facility.

Amenities

  • • Please bring your own yoga mat.
  • • Please bring your own water bottle (refills will not be available during phase one of opening).
  • • Towels will be distributed at the check-in desk.

Dear ClubSport Members,

We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. We miss you and look forward to the day when we can re-engage in person. In this new norm of “together apart”, we are excited to stay connected through our social media channels where you can find our Personal Trainers, Group Fitness instructors, Kids World staff, and R Spa team working hard to bring a touch of ClubSport into your homes. As we continue to navigate through these unique times we are working diligently on new procedures and protocols, including enhanced cleaning, sanitizing, and organization. The health and safety of our members and associates is our highest priority and we want to share a few of the new procedures you will experience to ensure a safe and comfortable environment to welcome you back.

  • Touchless Club Entry – All members will be required to use the ClubSport app to check in to the club. Watch this video with James Bennett on how to download the app and add your barcode. For written instructions, click here.
  • New Group Fitness Schedule – We are revamping our group fitness schedule to allow for ample cleaning between all classes.
  • Social Distancing Measures – We are implementing new procedures in our group fitness classes, on the fitness floor, in the locker rooms, and public areas to maintain adequate social distancing.
  • Additional Sanitization Stations – We are adding more sanitation stations throughout the property for easy access to sanitation wipes and hand sanitizer.
  • Hands-Free Water Bottle Fill Stations – Bring your own water bottle and use our hands-free filling stations to fill up on water.
  • Bring Your Own Yoga Mat – We are removing the mats from our yoga studio to prevent the unnecessary spread of germs. We ask that you now bring your own mat to class.
  • Clean Team – We are enhancing our cleaning regime and you'll see our staff sanitizing equipment frequently. In addition, we ask that all members wipe down equipment before and after use.

Our members and associates have always been our top priority and we feel very fortunate to be a part of your lives. As a small, privately owned and operated company, we are proud to be continuing to offer full compensation to every associate through April, with the goal of continuing compensation for as long as possible. We are committed to making ClubSport Aliso Viejo a safe and enjoyable place for all. Thank you for being a valued member of our family and we wish you and your loved one's health and wellness.

We know that as much as you are family to us, our associates are also family to you. For those ClubSport members that have already reached out to inquire how they can help our associates, we thank you. It is certainly a difficult time and your offer to help is appreciated by so many.

As events surrounding COVID-19 are ever-changing we find ourselves, like many others, in a place of wonder and we need to look at the impact that an extended closure would have on the valued associates of your club. Our goal is to pay our associates during the time club services are suspended and we are committed to deploying both operating and capital reserves to maintain as much compensation to our associates as possible.


After careful review and many considerations, we would like to give members the following options to assist in furthering what our reserves can do to keep our associates compensated during this difficult time.

1) Continue to pay your full monthly dues beginning April 1.
2) Pay 50% of your dues beginning April 1.
3) Remain on a complimentary freeze that is currently in place.

Please reply no later than March 31 if you would like to choose Option 1 or 2 and 100% of the dues you select to pay during the closure will go directly toward associate compensation. If Option 3 is your choice no action is needed. We will process all other membership requests upon reopening.

While our facility is closed, our hearts are still open and we still have an incredibly talented team that cares about you and your family. We want to make sure that during this time of uncertainty you are getting physical and mental breaks from your "new normal" and are able to challenge yourself with a variety of options. To achieve this we are going digital, and it’s not just to bring you fitness content. We will also be bringing you kid’s activities from Kids World and at home self-care tips from R Spa. As we continue to navigate through evolving recommendations to avoid or slow the spread of COVID-19, we wanted to provide you with an update. Yesterday we announced a temporary Kids World closure March 16 – March 31 and suspended all group activities, including group fitness classes through this same timeframe.

The situation has again changed rapidly in the past 24 hours and we feel confident that the best way to do our part to protect the health and well-being of our members, guests, associates, and our community is to temporarily close ClubSport. The entire health club side of the property, the aquatics center, and R Spa will close March 16 at 7:00 pm. The hotel and restaurant will remain open with reduced food and beverage options.

All memberships are officially on a temporary and complimentary “freeze” until the later of March 31 or the reopening of the club. A suspension of club-wide property services, although necessary at this time, is unprecedented for us. We will evaluate our ability to open the facility on a daily basis. Once we are able to safely open the property, a monetary adjustment will be made to each account based on the closure. Your membership is very important to us and we appreciate your trust and understanding and we will continue to communicate details once we have clarity on our re-opening timeframe.

In response to the recommendations by local health departments, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Governor’s guidance to avoid or slow the spread of COVID-19, we would like to share some new property information.

Kids World Closure to Begin Monday, March 16 – March 31

  • • As our country takes measures to avoid or slow the spread of disease, we have made the decision to follow the lead of local schools, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and other daycare facilities and close Kids World beginning Monday, March 16 through March 31.
  • • We will also be canceling our spring break camps, annual Easter Breakfast with the Bunny, and all other programmings for children during this time frame.

Group Fitness Classes Temporarily Canceled, March 16 – March 31

  • • We have canceled all group activities, including group fitness classes, Pilates Reformer, REV32, and group training to further adhere to social distancing recommendations.

Fitness

  • • We have placed "Not For Use" signs on every other cardio machine to create more space between cardio users.
  • • We ask that all members and guests be aware of others in the area and adjust accordingly to allow for maximum personal space when using the weight areas and the Edge Studio.
  • • Although we are cleaning and disinfecting the equipment, we recommend you use the disinfectant wipes located throughout the fitness floor before and after equipment use.
  • • We encourage members to bring their own mats and towels.
  • • We have removed the hydration station in the fitness center and ask that you bring your own personal water bottle and fill up at the hands-free water bottle station located on the fitness floor.

Citrus Fresh Grill & Market

  • • We have rearranged the furniture in the Citrus Fresh Grill dining room and Citrus Fresh Market to allow for more social distancing.

Member, Guests, and Associates

Please refrain from entering the property if you are ill, have COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

  • • It is imperative that we all follow the guidelines and recommendations of the local health departments, CDC, and WHO during this quickly evolving situation, which includes but is not limited to the following:
  • • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • • Practice social distancing.

We are closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization regarding COVID-19 which is fluid and rapidly changing. We will continue to seek guidance from these agencies and public health officials, and we will make further adjustments to our business and update you as new information becomes available.

At ClubSport Aliso Viejo, the health and safety of our members, guests, and associates is a top priority for us. Amid growing concerns around COVID-19 we continue to be vigilant in our sanitation protocols and have increased our emphasis to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

We are continuing to:

  • • Clean and disinfect all areas of the club throughout the day.
  • • Provide additional staff members specifically focused on cleaning and sanitizing fitness and locker room areas during business hours.
  • • Provide sanitation stations throughout the property for members and associates to use.
  • • Provide equipment wipes throughout the fitness floor and fitness studios.
  • • Adhere to strict illness protocols in Kids World
  • • Use sanitizers and disinfectants that adhere to CDC guidelines throughout the facility.

To keep yourself and others healthy here are some basic tips:

  • • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
