Orange County announced today that all fitness operations must be moved outdoors. The good news is that the majority of our equipment is already outdoors! We will add to our outdoor equipment by bringing some of what was moved indoors back outside again. All of our group fitness classes, including our new Formula3 classes, will continue to run outdoors and all of our equipment is covered allowing you to exercise rain or shine!

Thank you for choosing Clubsport for your wellness needs at a time when physical and mental health are so important. We will continue to provide ample equipment and classes outdoors so we can continue to support your needs.

It is official, we are re-opening! The much-awaited approval from Orange County to re-open health clubs has arrived and we are very excited to welcome you back.

We shared many of our new practices and protocols and what to expect when you return in our email sent on June 8. You can find our complete list of guidelines by clicking here. The guidelines in place are based on governmental guidance published on June 5, 2020.

For the safety of our members and associates, we have developed a systematic phased approach for re-opening based on state and local guidance.

 

Hours of Operation
Our first three days of being open will have limited hours of operation and services through the weekend. Beginning on Monday, June 15 we will expand those hours and services. Please see below.

Sunday, June 14: 7am-2pm

Monday-Friday: 5:00am-10:00pm

Opening Friday, June 12
All of the amenities listed above will remain open with the following additions:

  • • Fitness Floor and Edge including weights, cardio, and strength training machines
  • • Gymnasium: individual and family play basketball
  • • Squash Courts: individual practice, lessons, and family play
  • • Racquetball Courts: individual practice, lessons, and family play
  • • Restrooms
  • • Locker Rooms: for locker use and changing only

Opening Monday, June 15
All of the amenities listed above will remain open with the following additions:

  • • Kids World: ages 3-12, by reservation only (we anticipate opening up to all ages soon!)
  • • Group Fitness Classes: modified class schedule, by reservation only (class schedule to be released for reservations on Saturday, June 13 for classes beginning Monday, June 15.)
  • • Locker Room Showers

Re-Opening Soon!

  • • Aquatics: pools and lap swimming to re-open upon completion of the pool deck enhancement project. We anticipate re-opening our lap pool within a week. The entire aquatics center to follow shortly thereafter.
  • • Steam, Sauna, and Spa: these services are temporarily suspended following governmental requirements and will resume once permission by state and local health authorities is received.

 

Reminders Prior To Visiting the Club

  • • To support touchless check-in and expedite club access we ask that all members present their membership card via the ClubSport App. You can download the ClubSport App from the Apple or Google Play store and click here for written instructions on setting up the app.
  • • Fitness facility use will not require reservations.
  • • Group Fitness classes will require reservations. Class schedule will be released on Saturday, June 13 for classes beginning Monday, June 15. Phase one of our re-opening will include a modified group fitness schedule that will be monitored and adjusted to meet our members' needs. Digital classes will continue with a modified schedule.
  • • Kids World will require reservations. Phase one of our re-opening will include 1.5-hour reservations and will accommodate children ages 3-12. We anticipate opening up to all ages soon!
  • • All reservations can be made via the Member Self-Service Portal 96 hours in advance of class or appointment time. Click here for instructions on how to set up the Member Self-Service Portal.
  • • Please bring your own yoga mat.
  • • Please bring your own water bottle.
  • • Please remember to practice physical distancing throughout the facility.
  • • Guest visits will be temporarily suspended to ensure ample space and reservation times for our members.
  • • Per state and local guidelines masks are highly recommended but not required.
  • • Please stay home if you are feeling ill or exhibiting signs of illness.

Membership Status
Memberships will become active upon club re-opening. Members will not be charged dues for the remainder of June per a pro-rated credit from March. Billing will resume on July 1.

We are pleased to announce that California has approved the re-opening of fitness facilities starting no sooner than June 12. Although approved at the state level, local approval from Orange County is still required before re-opening. We anticipate the approval to come shortly and hope to announce our official re-opening date within the next few days.

As we await final approval we want you to know that we are very excited to welcome each of you back into the facility and look forward to seeing our wonderful ClubSport community in person! We would like to share with you what to expect when you return including extensive protocols and procedures that follow state and local guidelines that put the health and well-being of our members and associates as a top priority. The below guidelines are based on the Governor's recommendations as of June 5. We are constantly checking these guidelines to make sure we are in compliance but please know that things may still be changing and we will adjust accordingly. Reservations

  • • Group Fitness classes will require reservations. Phase one of our re-opening will include a modified group fitness schedule that will be monitored and adjusted to meet our members' needs. Digital classes will continue with a modified schedule.
  • • When a re-opening date has been determined, our Group Fitness class schedule will be released for advanced reservations.
  • • Kids World will require reservations. Phase one of our re-opening will include 1.5-hour reservations and will accommodate children ages 3-12.
    • • Programs will be monitored and adjusted to meet our members' needs and to support physical distancing and state and local guidelines.
  • • Lap swimming reservations will be required once aquatic services resume (expected in the latter part of June pending the completion of the pool deck enhancement project currently in process)
  • • Fitness facility use will not require reservations, however, reservation requirements are subject to change based on member use and capacity limitations.
  • • All reservations can be made via the Member Self-Service Portal 96 hours in advance of class or appointment time. Click here for instructions on how to set up the Member Self-Service Portal.

Physical Distancing

  • • Directional and spacing signage located throughout the facility to support physical distancing practices.
  • • One-way flow prioritized and indicated wherever possible.
  • • Plexiglass partition at touchless check-in.
  • • To support touchless check-in and expedite club access we ask that all members present their membership card via the ClubSport App. You can download the ClubSport App from the Apple or Google Play store and click here for written instructions on setting up the app.
  • • All equipment is strategically placed to provide ample physical distancing.
  • • Members will be required to practice physical distancing throughout the facility.
  • • Due to physical distancing and capacity requirements, members are only allowed in the club while exercising or using the locker rooms. Members will not be permitted to remain in the club to socialize during phase one of re-opening.

Health and Hygiene

  • • Associates are required to complete a self-screening at home before reporting to work as well as complete an onsite temperature check and health screen upon arrival to the facility.
  • • Members are asked to complete a self-screening at home before visiting the facility.
  • • Per fitness facility guidelines screening upon arrival to the facility may be performed.
  • • Any associate or member with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be asked to not enter the club.
  • • Associates and members must wash or sanitize their hands upon entry to the facility.
  • • Associates and members should stay home if feeling ill or exhibiting signs of illness.
  • • Members to bring their own yoga mat.
  • • Towel service will be offered through the club desk, however, state guidelines highly recommend members to bring their own towels.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • • Associates will wear protective face coverings while on duty with the exception of duties that require intense exertion.
  • • Associates will wear gloves as needed in the course of their duties and in accordance with state and local guidelines.
  • • Members are not required to wear face coverings while exercising, however, they must be worn when entering and exiting the club and when moving throughout the facility.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

  • • Increased protocols for cleaning and disinfecting using EPA products proven to be effective for use against COVID-19.
  • • A dedicated Clean Team continuously cleaning throughout all open hours of operation, as well as all of our team members cleaning throughout every shift.
  • • All members are required to wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • • Disinfectant wipe stations and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the facility for easy access for members to wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • • Cleaning and disinfecting of our Group Fitness studios and equipment between each class.
  • • Deep cleaning of the facility each night.
  • • Professional BioSafe Biological Cold Fogging completed in preparation for re-opening. Biosafe fogging is a unique disinfectant process that is EPA certified, non-toxic, non-corrosive, 100% biodegradable, and is environmentally safe. Biosafe fogging system purchased and on the property for ongoing deep disinfectant treatment.

Temporary Suspension of Services

  • • Steam, sauna, and spa service will be temporarily suspended in accordance with state and local guidelines. Services will resume once approved and deemed safe by governmental authorities.
  • • High contact programs that require close contact less than six feet distance are temporarily suspended in accordance with state and local guidelines. This includes competitive sport court games. The following will be allowed as long as a six-foot physical distancing is maintained:
    • Basketball shoot around (each member may only come in contact with their specific ball).
    • Lessons with one of our court sport professionals maintaining six feet of distance.
    • 1 person practice in squash or racquetball courts.
    • Use of court by families in the same household.
  • • Guest visits will be temporarily suspended to ensure ample space and reservation times for our members.
  • • Valet services temporarily suspended to further support physical distancing and health and safety measures. Preferred parking established for Resort and Executive members. Parking passes will be distributed to Resort and Executive members at the club desk.
  • • Aquatics services are temporarily suspended while we make improvements to the pool deck.
  • • We anticipate resuming aquatic services including lap swimming and recreational swim before the end of June.

Membership Status
Memberships will become active upon club re-opening. Details regarding reactivation of membership dues will be sent out when we have approval for our official re-opening date.

  • • New wood entry into the men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • • Fresh paint throughout the facility
  • • Complete refinish of the lobby floor
  • • Refinish of the flooring in Studio 1
  • • Refresh of Citrus patio fire pits, floor, lanterns and cabana covers
  • • Air conditioning filter changes and air exchange optimization
  • In progress: refinishing of the men’s and women’s locker room spa
  • In progress: refinishing of the pool deck
