Programs
Drop-In
Drop-In is a complimentary program for all Tennis members. Play is on Mondays from 9:00am-12:00pm, Wednesdays from 11:00am-1:00pm and Thursdays and Fridays from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Sign-ups begin five minutes prior and must be made in person. After that, arrive 10 minutes before the half hour to add your name to the list. Players will be mixed and matched in doubles play, and foursomes will be made as compatible as possible. Players are expected to play both indoors and outdoors on a rotating basis. The minimum level is NTRP 3.0. If you do not have an official NTRP rating, you will be assigned a "club" NTRP rating after playing a few "drop-ins."
Tennis 101
Tennis 101 is a 12-week adult tennis program designed for complete beginners or someone returning to tennis after a long absence. Tennis 101 consists of weekly one-hour classes. Lessons focus on key fundamentals including proper grip, swing, speed, balance and vision; as well as volleys, forehand and backhand strokes, serves and footwork. Students graduate from Tennis 101 once they have completed the 12-week session and have reached the National Tennis Rating Program (N.T.R.P.) 2.5 level.
Tennis 102
Tennis 102 is a six-week clinic series that expands upon the concepts learned in Tennis 101. The following concepts will be covered more in-depth: all fundamental strokes, hitting on the run, hitting on the rise, directing balls to angles and depth using spin variation, use of open and neutral stances, and fundamental doubles concepts.
Tennis 103 is a six-week clinic series that expands upon the following Tennis 101 and 102 concepts: developing racquet head speed on serves and ground strokes, refining placements of shots to major target zones, use of offensive, neutral and defensive tactics, refining all stroke production technique, intermediate doubles concepts and an introduction to singles tactics.
Socials and Fun Tournaments
ClubSport hosts fun tournaments and round robin socials throughout the year. Most include great food, drinks and professional organization. Special events may include: Wente Summer Wine and Tennis, Turkey Tennis Social, 4th of July Mixer, Tennis Barbecues, Holiday Tennis Round Robbins, and more. Check with the Tennis Desk for upcoming Tennis events.
USTA NorCal Tournaments
All tournaments involve players from Northern California. Entries open six weeks prior to each tournament and close two weeks prior. Check with the Tennis Desk for the current procedures for Touch Tone or online entry. A United States Tennis Association (USTA) Membership is required to play. There will be limited court play during these events.

NTRP 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0. Men's & Women's singles, Doubles and mixed doubles will be held (5.0's limited to Men's events only). -

Leagues
USTA Leagues
USTA sponsors a series of league matches throughout the year including men’s, women’s, mixed and senior’s leagues. Teams typically consist of 15 - 20 players and are organized by our captains. Some teams are highly competitive, while others are more recreational. The tennis staff of ClubSport Pleasanton can guide players to the appropriate captain. All players must have an NTRP rating, a current USTA membership and pay a nonrefundable registration fee to the USTA. USTA Memberships can be purchased online.

Adult Men's and Women's League
Team registration is generally held in March with final rosters due in April. League season runs from mid April through July. District and sectional playoffs are held in late July and August. Nationals are held in September and October. Level of play: 2.5 - open on the NTRP scale. -
Mixed and Seniors Leagues (Separate Seasons)
Team registration is generally held in late July with final rosters due in September. League season runs from mid September through February. Sectional play-offs are held in May. Nationals are held in September and October. Combined team play for mixed doubles is 6.0- Open, Seniors doubles league is 3.5 NTRP and above.
The Bay Area Ladies League is open to all ClubSport Pleasanton women at all levels of play. Currently ClubSport Pleasanton fields senior (over 50), "A", "B" and "C" level teams sign-up in June, July and early August (deadline Aug. 15th). Play other clubs in East Bay in both home and away matches. There are 1 – 2 matches per month, September - May.
Fall League
The Fall League is similar to BALL. Sign-ups are in June and July, with a July 15th deadline. You are able to play other clubs in the East Bay. Weekly matches are held September through early November.
Spring League
The Spring League is similar to Fall League. Sign-ups are in November and December, with a January 1st deadline. About two matches per month are held January through May.
In-House Rotational Box Leagues
In-house leagues are seasonal with winter, spring, summer and fall leagues offered. Men's and women's leagues vary in structure depending on the number of participants and the season. Each league costs $28 to join. Participants receive tennis balls for their match play, an end-of-the-league party and awards for the winners. Registration deadlines are typically three weeks before the league start dates. Check with the Tennis Desk for upcoming registration dates.

Men's & Women's Rotational Doubles Leagues, Mixed Doubles Leagues
Doubles and Mixed Doubles league run during all seasons. Play is offered at various NTRP levels on specific days and times. Players are responsible for recording scores in leagues-for-fun, fielding substitutions and canceling courts when necessary. Rotational league can accommodate 32 players divided into 4 groups.
Lessons
Our tennis staff is constantly being trained in the most recent and applicable tennis teaching techniques. We pride ourselves on using the very latest visual and kinesthetic learning aids as words can only take players so far. Instruction is available for players at all ages and levels, in both private and group settings. Private lessons are scheduled directly with your Tennis Pro. Registration for group lessons takes place at the Tennis Desk.
