Junior Tennis Programs
It's fun to play tennis skillfully! Our world-class tennis center is the perfect place for junior tennis players to hone their game. Staffed with USPTA-certified pros, our center offers a range of lessons, clinics, and camps for juniors of all skill levels.
Get Smart Junior Tennis Program
More than any other sport, tennis helps improve attention, memory, accuracy, and how quickly you process information, all of which helps you become smarter. For kids, not only does this mean that they'll be an ace on the court, it means that they'll be an ace in the classroom, too!
Our GET SMART Junior Tennis Program will help your child hone both the physical and mental aspects of the game stroke by stroke. Our clinics are perfect for novice and experienced players who want to be fundamentally sound and who aspire toward long-term development.
Visit the Activities Desk to sign up. For more information, contact tennis director Larry Parker.

Enrollment, Class Size, and Renewal
Classes are for members, children of members, or prospective members only. To enroll in Junior Tennis clinics, sign up at the Activities Desk or call (510) 226-8500 ext. 504. For proper class placement, contact tennis director Larry Parker at (510) 226-8500 ext. 516.
Minimum class size is three students. Targeted student-to-teacher ratio is 5:1 in Nickel and 7:1 in all other levels.
Classes are ongoing and roll over from one month to the next. Enrollment is automatically renewed. To cancel, notify tennis director Larry Parker by email or phone.
All classes are to be paid for in advance. The monthly rate will be billed to your ClubSport account at the beginning of the month. Please advise if you would like to pay by cash, check, or credit card. There are no refunds.
Students who are tennis members pay a lesser rate than students who are fitness members. Rates are based on a monthly session consisting of one class per week for four weeks. Rates will be prorated if there are less or more than four weeks of classes in a month due to holidays, tournaments, etc. The monthly rate is NOT prorated for absences by the student.
The fee for the first month will be pro-rated if a student joins the class in the middle of the month. If after a student's first class it is determined that the class is not right for them, there is no charge for that class; the fee will be incurred starting with the first attendance in the appropriate class.
Absences and Make-Up Sessions
Please inform the instructor if the student will miss a class due to illness, doctor's appointment, vacation, etc. Make-ups may only be scheduled within one month of an absence and must be in a different class than the one the student is currently enrolled in. There are no refunds for missed classes and it is not guaranteed that a make-up class will be available.
